We’re less than two weeks away. I’m really excited to be part of this upcoming Tedx talk on “outlaws”.
What a great subject for our fiercely independent area here in Humboldt County. I haven’t done any public speaking in over twenty five years. As a child and young adult, I always enjoyed public speaking opportunities. However, twenty some years ago, I tuned in , turned on , and dropped out. I’ve been immersed in tattooing ever since.
As tattooing becomes more mainstream, I thought this would be a great time to share some of tattooing’s history as an outlawed art form. I’ll be taking our audience on a little journey through time, offering a quick glimpse into tattooings past. How tattoo came to be outlawed , and how we came to a point of acceptance and growth.
Its been a challenge to put this together. Nonetheless, I’ve been practicing my talk and getting back into the flow of speaking outside my own comfort zone. I’ve created a piece of original art for the talk, and I’m excited to share that with everyone as well. Please come to the show at College of the Redwoods, and take advantage in sharing what should prove to be an exciting event. I’ve had the opportunity to hear many of the talks. I’m impressed and honored to be on stage with these incredible people. Hope to see everyone on December seventh.
